Employment

Dear Applicant,

It’s been well said, “Find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” I so appreciate that statement because it’s so true.

Having been a Pastor for over two decades now, I’ve been blessed to do something that I truly love. And although being a Pastor has had more than its share of challenges and even hardships, it’s never been “work”. Why? Because I love it and because it’s what God created me to be.

I share this with you because God created you for something just as He’s created me to be a Pastor. More than anything else, I want you to discover that purpose and calling for your life. Once you realize that, you’ll find yourself engaged in something you truly love and experience what this quote is all about.

For some, God’s calling doesn’t include serving on staff at Destiny Worship Center. He has a different plan, a different set of circumstances, and a different field for them to serve in. In their case, they find a greater fulfillment there than they could ever know being on our church staff. It’s the best thing for them because it’s God’s call for them.

Yet I also know that there are those that the Lord has called to serve in full-time ministry here at Destiny Worship Center. And what I often witness with them is the same thing I’ve seen in my own life; God gives them a set of skills and passions that enable them to serve Him and His people in a capacity that’s overflowing with effectiveness and fulfillment.

To be honest, I don’t know which category you belong to. But I do know this; we’re here to help you discern God’s heart when it comes to what He’s created you for. If it’s clear His will lies elsewhere, we will be faithful to help you recognize and pursue His perfect path. Or, if it’s evident you’ve been called to serve as part of our church staff, we want to assist you in any way possible as you walk in His will.

As you submit your resume and begin this application process, be excited! One way or the other, if your heart is open to the Lord’s plan for your life, you’re going to come closer to experiencing it. And as you do, you’ll find yourself engaged in something truly love, because you’re doing what Your Creator has created you for.

“That you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” Colossians 4:12
