Our Vision

What is Destiny Worship Center’s Vision?

To help you fulfill your God-given destiny. How do we do it? We have divided our vision into four areas.

Bridging Denominations

Our philosophy is to build on our heritage, not abandon it. At Destiny, we embrace the term “interdenominational”. People from all denominations can feel welcome at our church. We desire for every person to accept that they belong, first and foremost, regardless of the church background, if any, they may have. As God touches their lives, they will then believe in Him and behave according to His Word. We do not believe God is looking for reasons to exclude people. His nature is to include people. The best common ground we all have is that we believe in Jesus, believe in what He did for us and love Him with everything we have. This part of our vision is best demonstrated in our Worship Services.

Making Disciples

Our vision is to help you fulfill your God given Destiny. To accomplish this vision, our Senior Leadership has developed a Growth Track. Every person that comes to Destiny is welcome to engage in the Growth Track.

Destiny’s Growth Track includes:
A Newcomer’s Luncheon: Dine with the Leadership Team. This is great time to ask questions.
Discover Your Church: An informative class where you will learn what our church is all about. Following this class, you will be invited to a membership meal.
Develop Your Faith: The first class targets Foundational theology found in the Nicene Creed. The second class targets Lifestyle theology found in the Lord’s Prayer.
Deploy Your Purpose: A leadership class intended to equip members and position them in the areas of ministry that best fit their talents and preferences.

Building Families

Building families remains one of the top priorities at Destiny. We believe that a strong church is measured by the strength of the families that form it. At DWC, we offer a number of ministries geared toward strengthening families and the relationships between families. Our ministries include:

Iron Men the men’s ministry
Women of Destiny the women’s ministry
Surrender the young adults ministry (ages 18-29)
MOTION the student ministry (grades 6th-12th)
Destiny Children the children’s ministries from Ages 0 to 5th grade
Small Groups our way to connect at a closer level

Transforming Communities

Last, but not least, Transforming Communities is the reason we exist. When God put the vision in Pastors Steve and Jackie to launch the church, their heart was to transform the community of Destin. We transform our community by exercising goodness, generosity, and love to those outside of the church through Outreach programs. Each year, we give backpacks to students in need, (Backpack 2 School); bless families with low resources with Thanksgiving Baskets; give Christmas gifts to the Foster Children in our community; have food drives to help feed the hungry; and reach out to single moms on Mother’s Day. In addition, we have ongoing outreaches through our Small Groups. For more information on outreach, click here.

Another way we Transform Communities is through planting satellite churches in nearby communities. We currently have locations in Destin, Freeport, and Crestview, FL. For more information on those campuses, click here.
